Disney Springs is the perfect place to celebrate Independence Day in Orlando if you want a break from the crowds but still want to do something fun and festive. A distinct lack of fireworks at Disney Springs means fewer people will be walking around, especially as the night goes on and draws closer to 9:00 p.m., which is around when most fireworks shows start. And of course, Disney does a great job of making sure that the patriotic spirit is felt even without the traditional fireworks show.
Independence Day Dinner
Disney Springs is home to some amazing restaurants that offer everything from light bites to full course meals. Take a break from grilling this year and enjoy more time chilling with your family and enjoying the holiday. So stop in, grab a table, and eat to your heart’s content. Chef Art Smith’s Homecoming has you covered if you are looking for a more traditional Southern-style meal, or you can head over to The Polite Pig for a fresh twist on your favorite barbecue classics.
Soak in the #SummerVibes with us at @disneysprings Brews & BBQ with our fresh twist on our USDA Prime Brisket. Mopped & drizzled with house-made Black Pepper Porter Sauce, tomato-onion chutney, and a spiced & grilled watermelon wedge.

Of course, you’ll want to save room for dessert. Amorette’s Patisserie is your one-stop shop to find a fix for your sweet tooth, serving up everything from eclairs and macarons to cookies and cheesecake. For Independence Day last year, they had a few extra special red, white, and blue versions of some of their best-sellers.

Fireworks Viewing Options
Disney Springs may not have their own fireworks show, but there is still a chance to get a great view of the festivities going on in other parks. The Characters in Flight balloon takes you up into the sky above Disney Springs, giving you a bird’s eye view of the entire complex and the parks around it. There’s no way to guarantee that you’ll get to go up at the same time as the fireworks. At best you get a unique Disney fireworks show and at worst you get a great evening view of Disney. That’s a win either way.
You can also stake out a prime fireworks viewing spot at the Coca-Cola Store Rooftop Beverage Bar. This spacious rooftop bar provides sweeping views of Disney Springs and of the fireworks shows at the Disney parks. Enjoy sampling Coca-Cola soft drinks from around the world, as well as Coke-inspired cocktails, while you watch the fireworks in the distance.
