Disney Springs is the perfect place to celebrate Independence Day in Orlando if you want a break from the crowds but still want to do something fun and festive. A distinct lack of fireworks at Disney Springs means fewer people will be walking around, especially as the night goes on and draws closer to 9:00 p.m., which is around when most fireworks shows start. And of course, Disney does a great job of making sure that the patriotic spirit is felt even without the traditional fireworks show.
Independence Day Dinner
Disney Springs is home to some amazing restaurants that offer everything from light bites to full course meals. Take a break from grilling this year and enjoy more time chilling with your family and enjoying the holiday. So stop in, grab a table, and eat to your heart’s content. Chef Art Smith’s Homecoming has you covered if you are looking for a more traditional Southern-style meal, or you can head over to The Polite Pig for a fresh twist on your favorite barbecue classics.
Soak in the #SummerVibes with us at @disneysprings Brews & BBQ with our fresh twist on our USDA Prime Brisket. Mopped & drizzled with house-made Black Pepper Porter Sauce, tomato-onion chutney, and a spiced & grilled watermelon wedge.

Of course, you’ll want to save room for dessert. Amorette’s Patisserie is your one-stop shop to find a fix for your sweet tooth, serving up everything from eclairs and macarons to cookies and cheesecake. For Independence Day last year, they had a few extra special red, white, and blue versions of some of their best-sellers.
Red, white and blue made special for you—satisfy your sweet tooth with these patriotic-inspired treats from Amorette’s Patisserie! 🍰🍓💙 Available while supplies last. pic.twitter.com/fIrRrg84bU

Fireworks Viewing Options
Disney Springs may not have their own fireworks show, but there is still a chance to get a great view of the festivities going on in other parks. The Characters in Flight balloon takes you up into the sky above Disney Springs, giving you a bird’s eye view of the entire complex and the parks around it. There’s no way to guarantee that you’ll get to go up at the same time as the fireworks. At best you get a unique Disney fireworks show and at worst you get a great evening view of Disney. That’s a win either way.
You can also stake out a prime fireworks viewing spot at the Coca-Cola Store Rooftop Beverage Bar. This spacious rooftop bar provides sweeping views of Disney Springs and of the fireworks shows at the Disney parks. Enjoy sampling Coca-Cola soft drinks from around the world, as well as Coke-inspired cocktails, while you watch the fireworks in the distance.

Central Florida is a haven for golfers from all around the world with a plethora of public golf courses offering a range of quality and difficulty levels spread around town. Of course then there’s the number of private courses and country clubs that host professional events annually. Golfing is a serious affair in Florida, event our favorite public courses are nearly always in tip-top shape with lush fairways, smooth greens providing a great overall experience.
Shingle Creek Golf Club
Since its redesign in 2016, Shingle Creek has been one of the top rated golf courses in the Orlando area. Even back before the renovation, this course was one of the best in terms of quality of the grounds. Nowadays, although it plays a bit more difficult in spots, it also has a dynamic layer of variety to it, allowing players to have more fun and play more creatively.
Panther Lake at Orange County National
One of the things that makes Panther Lake a top golf course in Central Florida is the lack of buildings around the course. On many other local golf courses, there are houses, hotels, or other buildings around the sides. At Panther Lake, you get to experience the local wildlife while you enjoy your time on the course. Native birds and plants abound out here, and it is a sight to see every time.
Celebration Golf Club
Celebration is probably closest to what most people picture when they think “Florida golf.” Meticulously manicured to a standard you would expect more from a Disney golf course, Celebration feels more like a park sometimes than a golf course. It is equally fun to play on as it is fun to look at, featuring views as pretty as the course is challenging.
Are you looking to play any of these courses soon? Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando is your perfect home base for an Orlando golf vacation, with quick and convenient access to each of these courses. Our golf package is perfect for your next golf vacation.
Sample over 100+ beers lakeside in Ivanhoe Village
American Craft Beer Week is a nationwide celebration of small, independent craft brewers all around the country. The week-long festivities include community get-togethers from coast to coast. Beer ‘Merica is Orlando’s party, taking place rain or shine on Saturday, May 18 at Ivanhoe Village in downtown Orlando.
The festival features live music, food trucks, and adult “Play Zone,” and more exciting activities for attendees. There is even a competition for a chance to win a year’s supply of your favorite beer for dressing up in your most patriotic clothing! It almost goes without mentioning, but just in case you’re in town with kids, Beer ‘Merica is a 21+ only event. However, Beer ‘Merica is a dog-friendly affair! Just keep your pup on a leash at all times. Visit www.beermericaorlando.com for more information, as well as lists of breweries and food trucks featured last year.
Beer ‘Merica is a charitable partner to the Camaraderie Foundation, a wonderful organization that aims to “provide healing for invisible wounds of war through counseling, emotional, and spiritual support for all branches of Military Service Members, Veterans, and their families.” There is a raffle station set up at the event with all types of prizes and tickets. All raffle proceeds benefit the Camaraderie Foundation.
If you are planning to attend Beer ‘Merica 2019, consider staying at the Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando. Its convenient location is just minutes away from downtown Orlando, and walking distance from a number of bars in the International Drive area to help turn your Beer ‘Merica trip into a total beer vacation. Vacation planning usually comes with a great deal of questions. Does my hotel have this? Do they do that? There are questions that come up more often than others, so let’s answer those questions, which may answer any that you have.
Transportation: What are my options? For the convenience of our guests we provide free shuttle services to Universal Orlando® Resort, Wet ‘n Wild®, Aquatica®, Discovery Cove®, and SeaWorld® Orlando. Disney shuttles are available for $17 per person, per round trip. Reservations for both shuttle services are required. Our guest service desk is available to assist with other transportation options such as taxi services and passes for the IRide Trolley, which regularly travels the length of International Drive. Car rentals are also available through Enterprise Rent-A-Car, which has a station at Rosen Centre Hotel, our sister property.
Online Orders: Can I send my packages to the hotel? Yes! We are pleased to receive orders on behalf of our guests. We ask that they not be sent more than one week prior to guest’s arrivals. There is a fee associated with this service that usually starts at $10 per package weighing 49 pounds or less. Any packages over 49 pounds will be charged based upon weight. Packages must be picked up by the guest whose name it was delivered under. Photo ID is required for pick up.
Amenities: What’s in a guestroom? Guestrooms have coffee makers, microwaves, mini refrigerators and free Wi-Fi. We provide coffee and cups for the in-room coffee makers. Guestrooms also include an electronic safe in which guests can store valuables. These safes are designed so that you can create your own personal pin codes for access. Guests also have control over the air-conditioning units in their guestrooms.
If you find that you have more questions about our property, you can find most answers on our website under the About tab on the Hotel Fact Sheet page. Or you can reach out to us by filling out the Contact Us form on the homepage.
Theme parks provide an intangible thrill. For some of us, it’s a thrill and memory we’ll never forget. From childhood when we took our first steps to meet Mickey Mouse for the first time, to squeezing our parent’s hand all the way up to the top of the highest roller coaster drop; our experiences at theme parks are some of our strongest memories.
It’s no secret that Orlando is one of the world’s top theme park destinations, so go prepared to make the most of the experience. Bringing our own children for the first time to one of our beloved attractions or experiencing a theme park for the first time ourselves is quiet a whirlwind. We’ve listed a few travel tips to make your excursions to the theme parks the best possible.
Purchase tickets before you go. This should ensure you’re getting the best price possible.
Ask our Guest Relations about complimentary transportation options, shuttle schedules, and their favorite theme park features. (Hint: We offer complimentary, scheduled shuttles to Universal Orlando® Resort, SeaWorld®, and Wet ‘N Wild®.)
Designate a meeting spot for all large groups and family members. Kids may want to get lost in theme parks, but parents don’t want to spend their time looking for their kids.
Head to the parks early. Arrive early and avoid the mid-day crowds. While everyone is basking in the heat of the day, take an extended lunch outside of the parks or head to your hotel for an afternoon nap.
Once you’re re-energized and ready to take on the rest of the theme park, go back in the evening for some of the most specular night time shows and firework displays.
The most important tip of all, have fun and make some of the best memories!
The room was nice and clean, the beds were very comfortable and the food was good. The price couldn’t have been better for the location. We walked to the convention center, restaurants and bars across the street.
Super hotel for all
This hotel was very good value, you get toiletries, coffee 1 cup machine, fridge, microwave, safe and free WiFi at no extra charge. Lovely clean rooms with great comfy beds. All the staff were very friendly and helpful across the whole site. Location was super, and right outside the hotel was bus stops if you do not have a car. Buses were very clean and reasonable priced. It is very handy to have a 24 hour shop on site for things you might have forgotten, and if you need something to eat. Three very clean pools, nice children’s play area, and pool tables and games room for teens. Security guard on duty 24/7 when you enter the parking lot, and on foot security guards walk every floor, felt very safe. We will definitely go back to this hotel, loved it, and would recommend to our friends.
