About Howl-O-Scream
Howl-O-Scream is SeaWorld Orlando’s terrifying take on Halloween. Celebrated annually, it takes place from early September to early November. This year, the scaring begins on September 5 and goes on until November 1, 2025.
In 2023, Howl-O-Scream was dubbed Best Halloween Theme Park Event by USA Today, and came runner-up on last year’s 2024 list. Once you get a load of its thrilling haunted houses, scare zones, live shows, and performances, you’ll understand why.

Five haunted houses are making their way to Howl-O-Scream this year at SeaWorld Orlando. Each one boasts a terrifyingly unique theme that promises goosebumps and a good time.
Widow's Nest is one of SeaWorld’s newest haunted houses that traps you into an ominous Victorian orphanage haunted by The Black Widow. Her twisted creations whisper from the walls, sending you on a mission to make it out unspun.
Another haunted house making its 2025 debut is The Rave Yard, transporting you to a cemetery where “the dead never rest.” Step into the madness as tombs tremble to haunted beats and forgotten souls rise to the occasion – ready to make you part of their sinister setlist.
The Collector's Curse is the next newest addition to SeaWorld’s terrifying haunted houses. A mysterious host, The Collector, wants to welcome you to his lavish estate with horrors hiding behind the curtain. Your tour ends only when he finds a permanent place for you.
Returning from last year’s lineup is Water's Edge Wellness Center, where a lakeside escape becomes a prison for lost souls. Test your luck against the lingering spirits dwelling within the corridors, looking to make you a part of their next terrifying tale.
The fan-favorite Farm 51 is a returning haunted house that transports you to an abandoned farmhouse in the middle of no man’s land on a dark, eerie night. You’re soon joined by whispers from surprise extraterrestrial visitors — and they do not come in peace!
Spooky Scare Zones
As you venture around the park, you’ll find an array of hair-raising scare zones that keep the thrills alive all night long. Only the creepiest of creatures lurk about, and there are endless places to find them.
Woodrot Hollow is a new scare zone that blends nature and nightmare as twisted swamp-dwellers try to lure you into their world of rotting rage and decay.
Returning for another year of fright is the Blood Light District scare zone, which crawls with street heathens that beckon you with their beauty and bloodlust.
Cannibal Harbor is another returning favorite and home to a cursed costal town of deranged fishermen who stalk the shadows for fresh prey.
Stay tuned for more gruesome scare zone details as SeaWorld Orlando continues to release new information.

Inside these scare zones are a variety of interactive bars where you can sip and scream to your heart’s content. The scary good bars you can stop by this year include Tormented, Space Gate 3, and CarnEvil Curiosities.
