Fun Spot’s Orlando location has been extremely popular lately, so much so in fact that it isn’t large enough to meet customer demand. The theme park, which is located on International Drive, announced a plan for a massive expansion that will include a host of rides and attractions including a water park.
At Fun Spot’s second location just a short distance away in Kissimmee, preparations are underway for the new Head Rush 360 ride which takes riders a full 360 degrees vertically, while spinning at the same time. The park also features the most modern wooden roller coaster in the country. Some of the Kissimmee location’s smaller rides have been moved to Old Town to create space in the park for the expansion.
The Expansion Details
Fun Spot is reportedly considering expanding along U.S. route 192, not far from Disney. The location would give Disney guests easy access to the park and be only a short distance from those staying on International Drive.
There is still speculation as to the exact type of attractions that will be included in the new expansion. Fun Spot’s two current locations both offer roller coasters, go-kart tracks, arcades, and a host of other rides, but the expansions may result in even more variety.
The expansion is set to open sometime in 2017 and is sure to become a favorite for tourists and Orlando natives alike.
