The Trip Home
It’s always a sad day when your vacation comes to an end. After a fun trip, you shouldn’t be stressing out about getting to the airport. Here is a list of some helpful tips and fun facts you can do to avoid ending your trip on a bad note.
Make sure you check into your flight and print out your boarding pass the day before departure.
Plan your time accordingly the day before. One of the worst things is scrambling around the day of to get everything packed, get a car to the airport, and checking out of the hotel. Make sure you plan all of this ahead of time.
Have your method of transportation to the airport planned. Whether you rented a car or plan on taking a taxi/shuttle to the airport, it is always wise to plan transportation ahead of time.
You should always give yourself an hour and a half to get to the airport. Thirty minutes to get there and an hour to get through security. If you are taking an international flight, give yourself two hours.
Checking in your bags and going through security takes a lot of time. If you plan to bring carry on, make sure you have things such as laptops, cell phones, watches, belts, and shoes ready to be taken off so they can be run through the scanners.
If you follow these tips, returning home should be a breeze.
